Mr. Fredo Ontiveros
Biography
Mr. Ontiveros brings eighteen years of administrative and teaching experience at elementary, middle, and high schools throughout DoDEA Europe. Mr. Ontiveros most recently served as the principal at Naples Middle High School (NMHS).
As the principal at NMHS, Mr. Ontiveros’ focus was on ensuring success for all students through a tiered intervention program and an emphasis on equity and access to Advanced Placement classes.
As a teacher, Mr. Ontiveros taught science to both middle and high school students. His experience also includes coaching varsity sports and sponsoring numerous DoDEA academic extracurricular activities. Prior to teaching, Mr. Ontiveros had a successful career in Computer Information Technology, Marketing, and Human Resources. Mr. Ontiveros earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Post Bachelor Certificate in Middle School and Secondary Teaching from Arizona State University. In 2009, Mr. Ontiveros completed a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Framingham State University.
Mr. Ontiveros’ family hails from Chandler, Arizona. They enjoy playing golf, watching Sci-Fi Movies/TV, and are European Futbol fans with allegiances spanning Europe. Mr. Ontiveros is joined by his wife, Faith, and two daughters, Marisol, a Class of 2021 Naples MHS graduate, and Ariana, a 5th grader. Mr. Ontiveros’ eldest daughter Alex is a graduate from Aviano’s Class of 2011. Mr. Ontiveros and his family are excited to join the Royals’ community and he looks forward to working with the staff, students and families to ensure a positive environment to both learn and work.
